Monsoon Season

Summer here was hot and wet. This led to a very green Korea, but not very many outings. Silas loved it when we would go out to the playground in spite of the rain. Here is some cuteness from monsoon season:

He loves cubbies to hide/sit/hang out in. haha

Things were a little too quiet, and I found Silas getting on to our computer.

Lunch with Daddy.

On our way home from a long day of errands

He loves wearing belts, sashes, measuring tapes, etc. around his shoulders.

So that is how all of my pencils end up in the couch.

Poor Silas got super sick, he got to snuggle in Mom and Dad's bed
and he got to eat popsicles. Maybe being sick isn't so bad. ;)
As soon as he started feeling better, he fell and got a nasty cut over his eye.

This sweet guy bounces back pretty quick.

Silas' First Birthday

Silas turned ONE!!! He is so grown up! I can't believe how fast the time is going. One of our good friends that we met here was starting up her own photography gig, and asked to use Squeaky as a model to build her portfolio. Um, free adorable pictures, are you kidding? She did a great job! Here they are:

From Crawler to Toddler. May-June 2013

Playing with our friends out in the park, Silas decided to try going up the slide.

Anything Daddy does, I can do too!

One time Silas was trying to pick up Cherrios, but they had gotten damp and dried to the floor. (Totally gross, I know) It was like the prank where you glue a quarter to the ground and watch people try to pick it up. After a few tries with the piece of cereal he said 'forget this' (in not so many words), and proceeded to put his face down to the floor to get that piece of cereal one way or another! Apparently he thought that was such an effective method of getting the food into his mouth, he repeated it in another scenario for the camera.

He's bad!

This kid loves bath time! There are many times I ask him "Are you done?" to which he replies with an adamant head shake, sometimes accompanied with a scowl. "How dare you try to get me out of the bath already". He love to "Splash, splash, splash. Splashing in the bath".

His shirt got caught on the wheel of his tipped over stroller. I couldn't help laughing at his ingenious baby trap. It's not that bad that I took several pictures before freeing him from his bonds, is it? :)

Much thanks to our friends for watching Silas, Chet and I were able to make it to the temple together for a change.

His mid-crawl dance, and cruising!

Silas sure loves helping Daddy do projects

and helping Mommy make dinner.

I love when my dinners get this review:

Playing on another playground with friends.

Love!

Bus ride with snacks and sippy: doesn't get much better than this!

 This kid = So cute!
